WEEK 3 RECAP - PHEASANT RUN GC

*CORRECTED : NIC & NICK each had 3 more pts from their makeup round that I initially dinged them 80% on that I wasn't supposed to - it is all now corrected. The handicaps were figured accurately though and remain the same as last update.

Week 3 at Pheasant Run is in the books, and apparently somebody forgot to tell the golfers that handicaps are supposed to make things fair.

Leading the charge this week was Roland, posting a blistering 39 points and claiming the top score of the day (So much for Shuffleboard). Not far behind was Clauson with 38, while Bachert rounded out the podium with an impressive 37. Nice shooting, gentlemen! As this week's high-point man, Roland earns himself a pick from the prize pool. Get a good one - plenty of nice stuff to choose from!

The skins game were flying like Poma's golf clubs . By the time the dust settled, a whopping 9 skins had been paid out across the board. Clauson doubled up with two skins, while Mojica, Keelan, Poma, Pie, Vitt, and Stone each snagged one of their own. Apparently pars were optional and birdies were on clearance sale this week.

Sharpshooters of the day include - Isaacson, Roland, Marko and Evans all with a CTP.

Three weeks into the season, the handicap adjustments now kick in, and some of our "mystery golfers" are finally being exposed. The biggest move belongs to Mojica, who dropped 3 strokes and now sits at a 15 handicap while holding the top spot on the leaderboard. It turns out shooting good scores week after week eventually catches up to you. The newbies now have established handicaps - congratulations.

Meanwhile, a few others are still doing their best impression of undercover agents. Hayden (+3), Poma (+2), Edwards (+2), and Stone (+2) all saw their handicaps increase, leading some league members to begin investigating possible sandbagging operations. No official findings have been released at this time.

And finally, a special congratulations goes out to Pie, who is now an adjusted 14 handicap while continuing to launch darts from the ladies' tees. The handicap committee would like everyone to know that they are monitoring the situation closely... very closely. The newbies also have established handicaps - congratulations!

With three outings complete, the leaderboard is tightening up, handicaps are shifting, and the race for the championship is officially underway. See everyone at the next weekend at Pine Knob - yes next weekend - don't forget we don't have a week in between outings this time.
