LET THE BATTLE BEGIN!
LET THE BATTLE BEGIN!

THE BATTLE OF THE AGES — LITERALLY.

The gang is heading north, and this year we’re changing things up in a BIG way.

For the first time ever, the EGI is going full Ryder Cup style MATCH PLAY with the inaugural NORTH CUP — YOUNG GUNS vs. OLD GUARD.

That’s right. Youth, speed and questionable decision-making vs. experience, wisdom and pharmaceutical assistance. 😂

The teams are set. Darron Clauson will captain the Young Guns, while Rick Isaacson leads the Old Guard — and somehow we've entrusted these two with strategy, pairings and $3,840 in prize money. What could possibly go wrong?

This won’t just be four rounds of golf. We’ll have team meetings, captain meetings, lineup decisions and matchups made before each event. There will be strategy. There will be gamesmanship. There will almost certainly be accusations, finger pointing and judging by the EGI’s history, somebody will probably forget a wedge three holes back.

The weekend will feature 27 total matchups, with 14 points needed to secure the first-ever NORTH CUP.

And the formats will keep everybody guessing — 2-Man Best Ball, 2-Man Scramble, 4-Man Scramble and finally Sunday’s 1v1 Match Play showdown.

The Young Guns are bringing SPEED, POWER & PACIFIERS.

The Old Guard counters with EXPERIENCE, WISDOM & VIAGRA.

On paper, the youngsters may have the advantage. Then again, we watched Brian McClain come back from a shoulder injury and steal the EGI Championship, we've seen Mike Martin leave his wedges behind and not notice for three holes, and we've learned repeatedly that absolutely nothing in this league goes according to plan.

So who knows what the hell is going to happen.

$3,840 on the line. 27 Matchups. 14 Points to win it. Two generations. One Cup.

🏆 THE BATTLE FOR THE NORTH CUP IS ON!

This should be an absolute circus.
