🟢 WE HAVE A NEW CHAMPION!
BRIAN McCLAIN is your 2026 EGI CHAMPION! 🏆🟢
And considering where this season started for Brian, this one makes for a helluva story.
Heading into Sunday at Eagle Crest, McClain sat 4 points behind the leader with one last chance to make a run at the Jacket. He answered with 19 actual points and 35 total, jumping all the way to the top and finishing the season with 304 points — 4 clear of Kevin Bachert and 5 ahead of Mike Martin.
Not bad for a guy who, at the beginning of the year, wasn’t even sure he’d be able to play golf this season.
Brian was coming back from a shoulder injury, missed Week 1 completely, and then limped out of the gate in Week 2 with just 7 actual points.
At that point, nobody was exactly engraving his name on the trophy. 😂
But week by week, the shoulder got stronger... the golf got better... and those point totals kept climbing.
And when the season came down to one final round at Eagle Crest?
McClain finished the comeback.
From wondering whether he'd even play this year...
TO EGI CHAMPION.
Helluva comeback and a helluva season.

🚪 THE DOOR OPENED... AND McCLAIN WALKED RIGHT THROUGH IT
Now, Brian certainly played well enough to win it — but his competition was also kind enough to leave the front door WIDE OPEN. 😂
Kevin Bachert had another below-average day by his standards, finishing with 15 actual / 29 total.
And Mike Martin, who entered Sunday sitting atop the leaderboard, picked a pretty unfortunate time to struggle, putting up just 12 actual / 26 total at The Eagle.
McClain saw the opening and basically said:
“Well... if you guys insist.” 😂
And just like that — the Jacket changed hands.
Bachert still finishes an outstanding season in 2nd at 300, while Martin takes 3rd at 299.
That’s a pretty damn tight podium:
🥇 McCLAIN — 304🥈 BACHERT — 300🥉 MARTIN M — 299
Five points separating the Top 3 after an entire season.
🔥 ROUND OF THE DAY
Mike Stone brought the heat at Eagle Crest, firing the high actual round of the day with 22 points, good for 35 total.
McClain matched Stone's 35 total with his championship-clinching 19 actual.
So STONE & McCLAIN both earn a trip to the prize pool.
Stone apparently decided that if he wasn't taking home the Jacket home, he was at least taking something home. 😂
