MOOSE RIDGE RECAP!

Moose Ridge Survives... Barely!

If Moose Ridge had one goal this week, it was simple: humble everyone. And for the most part... mission accomplished. UPDATED STANDINGS HERE!

Week 7 delivered some of the lowest point totals we've seen all season, proving once again that Moose Ridge doesn't care what your handicap is, how many range balls you hit, or how confident you felt on the first tee. It has a way of reminding all of us who's really in charge.

Despite the carnage, Kevin Bachert continues to wear the crown, maintaining a 5-point lead atop the standings. But before Kevin prepares to get fitted for the EGI jacket, there's one giant "what if" looming over the leaderboard...

Mike Stone still has a makeup round to play.

If Stone fires 25, something he's proven he's fully capable of doing—and adds his 12 handicap points, he'd finish with 37 total points, giving him 241 season points and sole possession of first place. Suddenly that makeup round just became must-watch golf.

Movers & Shakers

There was plenty of movement throughout the standings this week.

The biggest charge belongs to Doyle, who rocketed up six spots while posting this week's High Total of 35, earning yet another prize pick. Doyle has quietly been putting together one solid outing after another... and rumor has it a certain loaner driver might have something to do with it. Whoever owns that club may want to "accidentally" forget to ask for it back.

Isaacson climbed four spots, while Roland Metivier continued his steady march upward, improving three places.

Quietly making moves were McClain and Mac, each climbing two spots as they continue to position themselves for the stretch run.

On the other side of the coin...

Mojica experienced some serious turbulence, falling eight spots after another difficult week. It's been a rough couple outings for the former frontrunner, but anyone who's watched this league knows momentum can change in a hurry.

And then there's K-Mart, who took an unexpected tumble of seven spots after an unusually tough round. Sometimes golf just punches you in the mouth. Knowing K-Mart, don't expect him to stay down for long.

The Number of the Week: 33

Apparently 33 was the magic number.

Six players landed on it:

  • Mike Martin

  • Josh Leake

  • McClain

  • Roland Metivier

  • Kohler

  • Hayden

Nice playing, gentlemen.

Just one point behind were Bachert, Isaacson, and Mac, all carding 32s, proving that on a course like Moose Ridge, every single point matters.

Prize Winners

Jason Poma finally got his wish...

He now sits all alone in last place. 😄

But before anyone starts feeling too sorry for him, he walked away with the Closest-to-the-Pin Prize Hole, earning first selection from the prize pool. Turns out being in last isn't all bad when you're stuffing one close on the par 3.

SKINS & PIN HAWKS - THE USUAL SUSPECTS!

Clauson, Keelan, Edwards and MAC continue to pillage our pockets, striking again this week for some nice prize $$$ - Clauson cashed with 2 CTP's while, Edwards captured a CTP and a SKIN, KEELAN, MAC and LEAKE also had a SKIN - only 4 Skins were won netting $88 ea. Nice week to get a skin fellas - Congrats!

DOYLE (as I mentioned earlier) - got the HIGH TOTAL of week and 2nd pick of the prize pool. Nice Shooting!

Two Weeks Remain...

With just two outings left, very little is settled.

The battle for the money spots is far from over, first place could change with a single makeup round, and every point from here on out carries a little extra weight.

The only question left is...

Who will survive Boulder Pointe... and who will be getting their name added to the plaque and wear the coveted EGI Jacket when it's all over? 🏌️🏆
